| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Bottle,Nice nose of peat smoked malt, molasse, liquorice and burnt sugar, sliglty ashy. The foam has a nice mocca color but is not stable enough. On the palate the beers fails do really develop due to its high residual sweetness. Was it neccessary to mask the flavor up like that? The peat smoke joins nicely with the molasse and the very first finish is nicely balance, but gets unpleasently sweet and cloying in the end. The brew needs to be worked out but shows great potential! cphbeerking (153), København K, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Heavy licorice and a healthy dash of peat dominate this rather un-Easter-like offering. Fast disappearing foam, deep reddish color and fair carbonation make this beer, on the surface, a standard experience, but some measure of spirit has been retained from the old Ølfabrikken days. Not bad, but then again, not all it would’ve been in the days of legend. Am I the only person who senses that change has indeed come to the once-fabled brewery? bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

Pours a very dark brown - almost black - with a tint of red and a creamy, light brown head leaving laces. Aroma of burned malt and some vanilla. Medium body with burned malts, vanilla and a salty touch. Ends with a distinct, burned malt astringency. Well made. 260208 faroeviking (6067), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

Aroma of smoke, roasted malt and some coffee. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is moked with roasted malt, some coffee, bit of chocolate and a soft bitterness. Good tasty brew but not like the old Ølfabrikken beers. Brix (372), Denmark
