Bottled. Thanks to Anders Holmskär. Black colour with brown head. Aroma seems to be very complex and oily with molasses. Fiery and very malty like gasoline, with oily body. In text, it seems to be like the winner of the SHBF 08.

A Mes rate: Bottle supped in the Harlequin in Sheffield thanks as so many good beers are, to Jan and Charlotte.
Almost black with a good tan head. It’s clear from my first sniff that this is underrated. A very Scottish smoky malt nose with hints of rubber and faint whiffs of alcohol. The flavour is excellent. Smoke, peat and some lovely earthy malt. Very rubbery, wonderfully dry and laden with burnt toast. This is pretty much a traditional UK style stout. In a blind tasting there is no way I would pick this out as being Danish. Creamy yet dry mouthfeel with perfect carbonation round off a glorious performance. Maybe I was swept away in the moment but I think this is a cracker.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s an almost black beer, unclear, and topped by a small, tan head. Roasted, slightly peaty nose with coffee and some vanilla. Roasted, peaty flavor with coffee and some chocolate. Smooth, full-bodied and warming in the mouth. Long, roasted finish with peat and some coffee and chocolate. A lovely beer, pity it’s gone. Bottle. Strong aroma of coffee, a little bit mocha, light sweet liquor. The head is small, foamy and light brown, fast disappearing. The body is black. A bitter start and finish, roasted malt, tasted a little bit like coffee. A long duration. The body is creamy-oily and heavy without much carbonation.

Bottled, thx to thewolf. Dark color, huge brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, blackcurrant, coffee. Strong roasted coffee taste. Thick, bit bitter, bit sweet, sticky. Good stuff.

Bottle, 6.5%. Sweet and spicy liquorice aroma. Almost black colour, red shine. Very small brown head. The flavour is nice and roasted. A lot of coffee in both flavour and aftertaste. Also a little sweetness and some cream flavour. The carbonation is low, but still a bit rough. Would have been much nicer with a creamy mouthfeel and carbonation.

Very dark, though clear, brown with a small light brown head. Lots of roasted malt in the aroma, some peat and liquirice along with hard dark chocolate. Medium body with a deep flavor of burned malts giving it a roasted bitterness and a light chocolate sweetness. Nice easter brew!

Bottled. Thx Theis. Very nicely balanced with notes of roasted malt, vanilla, spices and coffee - dark brown coloured.
