Soenderskov (33), Dragør, Denmark Jul 21, 2008 Nothing special Tuborg or Ølfabrikken pilsner is almost the same. It is a same, they can make a better pilsner, Ølfabrikken have been the best Brewery in Denmark, but not any more.
Golden coloured, medium sized white head, light herbal grainy nose. Weak malty and herbal with discreet hops presence. Also some odd carrot hints. Watery palate, dry light bitter finish. Grovlam (3420), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 18, 2008 Can. Large fin bubbled white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Clear yellow color. Aroma of mild dusty floral and light grass. Some underlying malty sweetness. Over the palate came caramel, grain. Light bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with some counter bitterness. Light dry and mild floral finish. Doggythedog (1092), Split, Croatia Nov 17, 2008 Can shared with ogivlado who got in a trade with faroeviking (thanks!)
Poured a nice golden-orange body with a medium to big thick white head that went away somewhat fast. Sweet grainy malt in the nose, some honey and herbal notes. Seemed promising and stayed that way when I tried it first but reality soon kicked in, sure it was somewhat likable, but it’s a bit light and has that carrot/beet taste I don’t like in my pilseners. The hop is too light for the style. Some sweet malty pilseners. Different but weak and I’ve had far better. Feel like I’m overrating it. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 16, 2008 (Can 33 cl) Clear golden with a decent white head leaving laces. Fairly unclean aroma of brewing cereal, yeast and diacetyl. Medium body with sweet malts, brewing cereal and diactetyl. Strangely skunky with an earthy edge. Very subdued bitterness. Wauw, this is surprisingly bad. 081008
