Very roasted/burned aroma. Quite full-bodied, with notes of burned malt leaving a dry bitterness. Underlying sweetness, but rounded and very smooth. Very classical Porter of superior quality. 281005 omhper (12219), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2006 [Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Dark black, creamy head. Rich coffee aroma. Dryish and smooth. Tar competes with coffee for domination. Solidly malty, but towards the finish it turnsh somewhat harsh and inky. In my opinion Ølfabrikken makes other beers that are far better. yespr (12135), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Pours black/deep brown with a thick chocolate head. Nice liqourice chocolate roasted malt and slight smoked aroma, classic with a slight orange feel. Flavour is heavy on all notes, classic Ølfabrikken to have a heavy bitterness into the finish. Before that chocolate, slight liqourice and roasted malt notes with a whiff of wineous dried fruits make out a great porter brew, very classic but just much more powerfull than other baltic porters around. Great brew that keeps lingering long after the last sip.
From 50 cl bottle brewed at Nøgne Ø for dist. with the Shelton Brothers. Distinct dark horizon aroma initially. Aroma is chalky, light smoked. Light fruity flavour. Domininantly smoked flavour. Ends lingering dry malty and smoked finish.8-4-8-4-17=4.1 fonefan (11525), VestJylland, Denmark
