Commercial Description:
Stout is a black ale. Ours is highly hopped, moderately high in alcohol and boasts a rich roasted barley and chocolate malt flavor. It chimes a Big Ben & mash.

A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and light chocolate. The flavor is chocolaty to start out and towards the end it becomes more roasted. The mouthfeel is very smooth due to it being served on nitrogen.

Beautiful creamy head atop black body, screaming "Irish Stout" to anyone who cares, even to those that don’t. Aroma is mild, roasty, slight coffee. Taste is mild roasty and that’s it -- its blandness really surprised me. Very creamy, light-medium body. Seems like the brewers were more concerned with the look and feel than the taste and smell.

Nitro... RBSG2006... Pitch black ale with a mid-sized, creamy, well-tanned head. Excellent retention. Chocolate and coffee nose. Well-balanced chocolaty flavor with burnt, bitter notes. Medium-bodied and bristly with soft carbonation. Chocolaty, dry finish.

on tap-pours a rich, creamy, cascading light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty/bakers chocolate, hint of acidic. Taste is dark malt-roasty/bakers chocolate, hint of acidic-hops, dry finish. Not my taste but nice. Occasional.

Draught @ The Wharf Rat in Baltimore Black, tan creamy head. Lots of lacing. Nose of char, strong soy sauce and vegetal notes. The flavor is sweet; fruity roasted mild coffee and chocolate. Excellent finish.

On nitro, at the downtown brewpub. Good roastiness, good lacing. On the thicker mouthfeel side. A bit sour.

Draft at Wharf Rat on Pratt. Comes out black. Small tannish brown head. Hard to tell exactly as the light isn’t the best in the bar. Nose is roasty and sweet with almost a light cinnamon aroma. Odd, but that’s what I smelled when I took my first whiff. Taste is roasty, coffee-ish, with choco notes and a hint of hops. Body is creamy and surprisingly light. Finishes with more roasted malts, chocolate and coffee notes.
