The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and light chocolate. The flavor is chocolaty to start out and towards the end it becomes more roasted. The mouthfeel is very smooth due to it being served on nitrogen. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | May 1, 2004 Beautiful creamy head atop black body, screaming "Irish Stout" to anyone who cares, even to those that don’t. Aroma is mild, roasty, slight coffee. Taste is mild roasty and that’s it -- its blandness really surprised me. Very creamy, light-medium body. Seems like the brewers were more concerned with the look and feel than the taste and smell. bu11zeye (5505), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Draft at Wharf Rat on Pratt. Comes out black. Small tannish brown head. Hard to tell exactly as the light isn’t the best in the bar. Nose is roasty and sweet with almost a light cinnamon aroma. Odd, but that’s what I smelled when I took my first whiff. Taste is roasty, coffee-ish, with choco notes and a hint of hops. Body is creamy and surprisingly light. Finishes with more roasted malts, chocolate and coffee notes.
