Great opaque black color, with a creamy head. Aroma had hints of licorice. Flavor had a great balance of hops, malt, and a hint of sweetened coffee. If you get down to Baltimore, don't miss this beer. obxdude10 (1557), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a very dark chocolate color; huge, creamy light-tan head with gorgeous retention and creamy lacing, coating the glass. Solid amounts of roasted malts, milk and dark chocolate, and a touch of vanilla in the aroma; creamy, well-roasted nose. Medium mouthfeel: incredibly pleasant in the mouth: creamy, well-roasted, and good levels of balancing acidity and bitter chocolate; core is composed of milk chocolate, nougat, and softly roasted malts. Lengthy, roasted finish: milk chocolate, slightly bitter. baraciisch (138), USA

Aroma is extremely malty, but the flavor is surprisingly hoppy for a stout... Like a stout and pale ale fused together... Initially very malty with rich roasted barley flavor, but finish has a touch of bitterness, very mild however, probably from English hops... Very nice beer. scraff (1942), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Deep roasted chocolate and minty coffee aromas lay on soft notes of vanilla black currant. Rich burnt bitter chocolate and dark roasty flavors are well balanced on a soft sweet coffee backbone. A good bitterness throughout keeps the sweetness at bay for the most part. Light to medium bodied with pillow soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bittersweet. In my book, a well made sessionable stout... guzzler67 (1279), Hanover, Maryland, USA

Nice roasty and black patent malt nose with some coffee, bitter chocolate, and leafy hops. A big molasses note came out late when it warmed up a good bit. Nice smooth flavor, not overly burnt or roasted with a nice bitterness level on the back end. Pretty hoppy for the style, but I dig it. Mouthfeel is the usual nitro feel, but it’s got a bit more body and substance than the usual. Overall, pretty nice. I could have a nice session with this guy pretty easy.
