hopdog (5534), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 10, 2009 Updated: Oct 11, 2009On tap at the KSBF ’09. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of grains, spices, and some breadiness. Tastes of the same spices, grainy, bready, and some citrus. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 7, 2009 one of the better blonde ales I’ve had, decent body, had a nice little spice to it too. badlizard (2325), Berkeley, California, USA Sep 20, 2008 Dark yellow with a fizzy white head. Malty aroma and taste with a crisp citrus bread and earthy taste. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA Aug 10, 2007 This is the 2nd worst beer I’ve ever had, topped only by Olivers Vanilla Ice. This was as bland a beer as one could make. It wasn’t bad, but it was like drinking a warm, flat Natty Light from an old keg in college because you can’t get any other kind of beer. This had no aroma and no taste. It was also served from a hideously dirty draft line. Since this was brewed on-site, I fault The Wharf Rat for the serving conditions. I would avoid self-brews at The Wharf Rat at all costs. Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 20, 2006 A hazy yellow beer with no head. The aroma is sweet spicy with notes of coriander. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of coriander, and the body is a bit thin. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 3, 2006 Draught @ The Wharf Rat in Baltimore
Pale yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of hoppy vegetal malts. The flavor is sweet and tangy, zesty, argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Jul 23, 2006 Clear straw body with minimal white head. Aroma is medium sweet, mild, light earthy. Taste is medium sweet, peach, some earthy. Light body with light acidity. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 28, 2006 Nitro... Mostly clear, yellow ale with a small, creamy, white, permanent head. Grainy, citrusy aroma. Big notes of mash... smells like a brewery. The flavor is also grainy with good balance. Very earthy with huge wood and must. Thin. Light-bodied with fragile carbonation. Finishes grainy and watery. I can almost taste the entire grain bill. Interesting. Different.
