Aroma is cherries. flavor is tart with a hint of cherries, more subtle than the aroma would indicate. Crisp and clean finish. Great for those hot days. nimbleprop (936), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA

Musty aroma, slight fruit. Flavor tastes like cherry extract, slightly metallic, buttery with some sweet tarts. Buttery on the tongue, medium bodied. This wasn’t great. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 11, 2004 Amazing Cherry beer. Has a wonderful reddish color with a nice cherry aroma. Very smooth, some foamy head, cherry flavor was balanced just right, not artificial(like Cherry Wheat) or overpowering, and had a nice sweetness that lingered on the tongue. Excellent beer! scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2003 Reminds me a bit of New Glarus Red (which is AWESOME) As stated by guzzler, definite styling of a Belgian Kriek, but more taste and palate of a very good Cherry Wheat. Crisp, slightly tart, dry, and refreshing. A good summer beer without a doubt. PS - 300 lbs of Michigan cherries were used in the brewing process. You can certainly tell. That's a good thing! :-) Enjoy. guzzler67 (1286), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2003 Styled somewhat like a Belgian kriek, however there was more emphasis on the wheat and less (it seemed) on the yeast strain. As the name would imply, there was plenty of cherries in the nose and in the taste. Reddish, copper appearance. Nicely balanced. Smoothe finish.
