Nov 18, 2006 A hazy red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of berries - I find to too light. The flavor is sweet with quite a lot of lemon, but also light notes of berries as well as hints of wood towards the end, which is bitter and hoppy. Nothing special.

Aug 25, 2008 on tap-pours white bubbles for a head and amber/copper color. Aroma is mild medium malt-some sweet, roasty. Taste is mild medium malt-some sweet, roasty/peat, some fruit-yeast, secondary dry/coppery hops. OK/mild carbonation.

Jul 17, 2006 Draft... RBSG2006... Clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Lightly fruity nose with barely a rumor of molasses. The flavor pulls up just short of medium bitter and is a touch tangy. Medium-bodied with a faintly creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Grapefruity, coarse finish.

Ruby red amber, light head and lacing. Nose of light sweet fruit, light hops. The flavor is malty, sweet with light roast. Nice finish and mouthfeel but the nose is abscent.

Jun 13, 2003 Staying head and an airy malt aroma. Lightly balanced caramel-malt with vague bittered ending. Quite good.

Feb 2, 2009 On tap @ Wharf Rat. Pours a mostly clear orangish copper body with a small tight bubbled light beige head that retained as a thin film. Slightly sweet nose with just a touch of butteriness. Mostly toasted and some toffee maltiness. No hops noticeable. The diacetyl carries over into the flavor too much for my tastes. Quite buttery with toasty malt and some light fruitiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a bit of a slick stickiness on the finish. Moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, not so good. Only had about 2 ounces of this one.
