Aroma: Nose has some citrus, some nice vanilla, earthiness
Appearance: Amber color, creamy and lasting head, lots of coating lace
Flavor: Some creamy vanilla, citrus hops, a very tasty beer
Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, smooth, nice amount of body
Overall Impression:
This was one of the better beers I tried at the Pratt Street brewery. A very good cream ale (which is what I think this should be categorized as). A beer I enjoyed quite a bit.
Dogbrick (2807), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 11, 2009 Sample at the brewpub (as "Coventry Cream Ale". This beer pours a dark reddish-amber color with a medium and creamy white head that dissipates slowly. Thin sheet of lacing on the glass. Aroma of mild hops and earthy malt. Light and creamy body with flavors of citrusy hops, earthy malt and a touch of sweet fruit. The finish is smooth and mildly hoppy with a sweet malt aftertaste. Above average overall. badlizard (2324), Berkeley, California, USA Sep 20, 2008 Copper red with a creamy white head. Malted barley aroma, nice mild creamy vanilla and citrus hops taste with an earthy finish. Holdwine (904), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Dec 10, 2007 On draft with nitro. Great cream ale. Easy to drink, creamy, frothy. Enough pleasant bitterness to qualify as a bitter. Well balanced with decent roasted malt character. fozapd (33), Burlington, New Jersey, USA Jul 23, 2007 This one had a nice fluffy white head with a golden/orange body. It had a nice creamy taste with a great mouthfeel. Overall this is a good summer beer for session drinking near Camden Yards. alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA Jan 27, 2007 On draught, probably liked this the most of all the beers that I sampled. Easy to drink and creamy. Great mouthfeel. Hops, vanilla, and citrus flavor, sweet finish. Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 18, 2006 A hazy orange beer with an off-white head. The aroma has light notes of citrus and fruit - a bit boring. The flavor has notes of citrus, fruit - peaches, and lighter notes of toffee. The mouthfeel is very creamy and smooth. BückDich (4784), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 3, 2006 Draught @ The Wharf Rat in Baltimore
Amber color, creamy white head, lots of lacing. Nose of light grassy citrusy hops and some sweet malts. The flavor is tangy, moderately bitter. Too much citris character to clash with the malts.
