Jun 13, 2003 This is a very dark amber beer with a big creamy head. It's milky smooth, heartily malty and wonderfully robust in the tradition of the best British bitters. Beautiful.

Sep 11, 2004 One of the nicest textures I ever had in a beer. Dark brown, almost opaque color, with a tannish creamy foamy head. Could taste a hint of hops, but moreso dominated by maltiness. Smooth drinking, and a heck of a lot better than boddington’s.

Jun 5, 2005 Very creamy and delicious. One of the better ones available at the brewpub. Easy to drink in everyway. A wonderful beer. Cream is the appropriate word.

Jul 23, 2007 This one had a nice fluffy white head with a golden/orange body. It had a nice creamy taste with a great mouthfeel. Overall this is a good summer beer for session drinking near Camden Yards.

Jun 5, 2003 On a nitro tap, a beautiful looking pint. Big head, lacing that lasted until the end. Subdued nose of malts and grain. Smooth, velvety taste. Pleasantly bitter aftertaste.

May 28, 2006 Nitro... Hazy, deep amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, almost beige head. Impeccable retention. The nose is greatly diminished by the nitro infusion, but as the herbal, earthy beer warms there are gentle reminders of leather, butter and grapefruit. Good balance in flavor. Well-bittered for the style. No sweetness. Medium-bodied and creamy with soft carbonation. Lengthy, crisp, bitter finish. Great cream ale!
