May 31, 2008 Pints @ Fells Point Wharf Rat. Pours a dark cola color; thin, light tan head with patchy lacing. Cola, caramel, and sweet malts in the aroma; basic, chewy malts. Lively carbonation, with some zesty citrus and mineral hoppiness; medium mouthfeel: caramel, wet malts and nougat at the core; drinkable, citrus-laden porter. Not quite the same drinkability or clarity of the stouts. Medium finish: toasted malts, caramel, and some mineral bitterness.

pours a brown with touches of crimson and a very thin head. aroma is sweet toffee malt and ligh roast, mostly sweet malt, very pleasant.flavour is a light roasted, some toffeej, sweet malt and a hint of chocolate. avery smooth drinking sessionable beer. i am truely loveing this place.

Jan 27, 2007 Color was a dark brownish, head was thin and a light brown. Aroma was licorice, malt and hops. Medium malt. Found the licorice was the dominant flavor, also with some roasted malt and hops. Finishes dry.

Nov 19, 2006 A red-brown beer with a thin beige head - too light in color for a Porter. The aroma is sweet malty with a light roasted note. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of butterscotch, the combination makes the mouthfeel a bit sticky and cloying.

Black, brownish. Light head and lacing. Nose of chalk, light tin and molasses and hops. The flavor is a bit zesty, snappy, malty. Portor? Ha, finishes malt.

Jul 17, 2006 Draft... RBSG2006... Deep, dark, mahogany ale with a small, fizzy, lightly tanned head. Restrained aromas of chocolate and stale, browned apple. Perfectly-balanced; subtle flavors of chocolate and coffee with soft burnt notes. Almost medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Crisp, dry finish.

Jul 1, 2006 Draft at Wharf Rat on Pratt. Black bodied with a small tan head. Nose is roasted malts, light coffee, dark chocolate and light licorice. Taste is pretty much the same - roasty malts, coffee-ish flavors, light licorice and chocolate. Body is medium with some creamy moments and is smooth overall. Finishes with more roasted malts, coffee, light choco notes and licorice hints.
