mvcramer (187), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA Aug 10, 2007 This is the worst beer I’ve ever had. Expected a "light summery brew with some sweet vanilla flavor" (as quoted by the bartender). What I got was an aroma-less, flat, bland beer. It tasted like someone’s first crack at a homebrew that would make them think, "OK, it won’t kill anyone, but surely I can do better." It wasn’t helped by the hideously dirty draft lines, but since their beer is brewed on-site, I fault them completely. I would avoid self-brews at The Wharf Rat at all costs. Aurelius (2443), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 25, 2007 Pale, clear yellow, not much head. Lightly tart, cream soda aroma. Tastes like cream soda without sugar. Fizzy, thin. Mercifully, no cling. DLA trip. Ungstrup (10824), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 18, 2006 A light yellow beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is almost non-existing - maybe due to the fact that it is served very cold - the only note I can pick up is a faint malty one. The flavor is lightly malty with notes of vanilla, and the body is thin. Not my cup of tea. BückDich (4491), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 3, 2006 Draught @ The Wharf Rat in Baltimore
Clear yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of nothing, too cold to taste. Light vanilla. The flavor is like creamy soda, sugary and sweet, not bad if you treat it as such. dolemike1 (1105), Owings Mills, Maryland, USA Jul 24, 2006 Like michael jackson (the singer) and children, the paths of vanilla and wheat should not be crossed. This blew.
