Commercial Description:
An ultra-smooth wheat beer made with real vanilla beans. This ale has a rich gold flavor, light bodied crispness and a hint of sweetness.

This is the worst beer I’ve ever had. Expected a "light summery brew with some sweet vanilla flavor" (as quoted by the bartender). What I got was an aroma-less, flat, bland beer. It tasted like someone’s first crack at a homebrew that would make them think, "OK, it won’t kill anyone, but surely I can do better." It wasn’t helped by the hideously dirty draft lines, but since their beer is brewed on-site, I fault them completely. I would avoid self-brews at The Wharf Rat at all costs.

Pale, clear yellow, not much head. Lightly tart, cream soda aroma. Tastes like cream soda without sugar. Fizzy, thin. Mercifully, no cling. DLA trip.

A light yellow beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is almost non-existing - maybe due to the fact that it is served very cold - the only note I can pick up is a faint malty one. The flavor is lightly malty with notes of vanilla, and the body is thin. Not my cup of tea.

Draught @ The Wharf Rat in Baltimore Clear yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of nothing, too cold to taste. Light vanilla. The flavor is like creamy soda, sugary and sweet, not bad if you treat it as such.

Like michael jackson (the singer) and children, the paths of vanilla and wheat should not be crossed. This blew.

Draft... RBSG2006... Barely yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Not much going on in the aroma other than a pleasant insinuation of vanilla. Much the same flavor-wise... seltzer water with a splash of vanilla. Short, crisp, clean finish. Refreshing, but so is club soda. Club soda is far less expensive... even a small bottle of vanilla extract is inexpensive and goes a long way.

Ice Ice baby. Very light colored. Said it was a wheat beer and ale, though it looks lighter than any lager. First sip was all Vanilla, and I even coughed a little bit in shock. Very carbonated. Light in alcohol A decent beer that does not really taste like beer. Good experiment.

Utter garbage. Tasted like cream soda. This beer is completely retarded. I can’t think of anything worse.
