janir (136), Oulu, Finland Jul 22, 2008 Clear copper color with small, lacy and partly lasting off-white head. Aroma is caramel malty, slighlty fruity and metallic and dry hoppy. Quite malty nose, syrup and little banana spiciness. Caramel malty, lightly spicy flavor, some rust. Little hops in the finish. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation. Good for an Olvi. taunusmies (223), Finland May 29, 2008 Firm bodied beer with strong malty aroma and some hops. Pours deep copper colour and has a large head. Slightly bitter, bready aroma, also a hint of grassy and floral notes. A decent beer indeed, I hope they’ll keep this in production at least a couple of years. JK54B (205), Finland May 28, 2008 Light brown reddish colour. Some sourness in the taste. Some malts in the taste and also some nice hoppiness in the end. Can. wunderbier (1267), Tampere, Rovaniemi over summer, Finland May 23, 2008 Rich copper hue; fading cream froth. Soft whole grain bread --lightly toasted-- and dew covered flowers warming under a morning sun. Fair malty sweetness, a bit of grain...then acidity, faint bitterness and drying tannins. Texture is firm, carbonation pushing, weight respectable.
Graininess detracts from an otherwise sessionable affair.
50cl can, best before 12.2008.
