Golden beer with a small head. The aroma has a bit of hops in it and the flavor is more dominated by hops.

From bottle@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. An offwhite ring of bubbles over a orangey shaded, gold colored body. Inviting aroma of peachy and light grassy hops..Taste is soft caramelly, and has fine fruity bitterness, quite unusual for the style. Mid-bodied and slick in the mouth. Nice hoppy finish. A highly drinkable blond lager.

Bottle, under Danish name "Skælv", at RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, ABV 5%. Deep golden colour, low head. Pleasant aroma of grapefruity American(?) hops and caramel. Fairly rich mouthfeel for a golden lager. The flavour has crystal malts and some caramel, noticeable American hops, but is not very bitter.

This was a big surprise. One thing is that is was a new expierience to me, as I have never had an icelandic beer, and another thing is, that I was expecting much less when reading the ratings on this site. The beer has a wonderful aroma with hops, citrus, and surprisingly raspberries too. The flavor is much a alike, however the raspberries are subdued to make the hops more obvious. Citrus and malts are obvious, and finish is fine and bitter. The palate could be thicker but is certainly acceptable, and the beer is a definately a good piece of work. It leaves beautiful lacings on the glass, and has a slightly opaque dark golden colour.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours golden with a white head. Fresh hoppy flavour with a little caramel. Hoppyness is not quite well integerated (soft water perhaps). Still a nice lager.

It poured a golden clear liquid with a white foam. Smelled fresh with honey and citrus. Tasted fresh with bread, honey, citrus and some hops. Smooth mouthfeel. A nice lager.

Bottle at SBWF. Rather heavy bodied and hoppy for a lager. A bit burned taste.
