Color was dark auburn with a smallish head. Aroma was not too strong; with some vanilla and nuts. Flavor had a lot of semi-sweet vanilla with roasted malt. Unlike many vanilla porters, this one did not taste too contrived or artificial. CaptainCougar (5526), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of sweet vanilla and dark caramel with a touch of toasty nuts. Body starts with a good amount of sweet vanilla and almonds balanced with some earthy bittering hops before a clean, bittersweet finish with a touch of milk chocolate. A unique and tasty vanilla porter. mspindler (334), Alta Loma, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2009 On tap at OJs. Pours the color of black coffee with a thin tan head. Aroma is loads of coffee, and very slight vanilla, a bit grainy. Flavor doesn’t really have much in the way of vanilla, mostly coffee and some chocolate and roast. Pretty light bodied for a porter and almost watery with prickly carbonation. The lightest and most refreshing porter I’ve had, although that’s not really what I’m looking for in a porter.
