Dogbrick (2260), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 13, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear golden color with a top ring of lacing and spots underneath. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mild hops, grass and corn aroma. Light-bodied with hops and grainy malt flavors. The finish is short with lightly bitter hops aftertaste. Standard stuff all around. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA Feb 4, 2008 On tap at brewery, 02/04/08. Clear, light yellow with lots of active bubbles, even in a taster glass. Nice little head. Honey notes in aroma along with floral hops. Sweet malt, citrus, lemongrass flavors. Inoffensive corn in aftertaste. Not bitter at all. If you’re going to do a golden/blonde ale, it ought to be like this, though it might use a touch more hops for bittering. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 15, 2008 on tap-pours a white head that laces and yellow color. Aroma is crisp grain. Taste is crisp grain-some sweet, spicy/metallic hops bite (saaz?). Brewer usually uses saaz this batch Perle. Ok carbonation.
fordest (1759), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Nov 8, 2007 Draft at the brewery on the way up to GABF. Smallish head on the golden yellow pour, Macroish aromas. A bit vegital. Decent enough flavor though with a crisp and bitter finish. Not horrible. riversideAK (1630), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 4, 2007 Nothing really going on here. Yellowish gold appearance. Not really an aroma at all. The flavor was a mild grainy flavor with a crisp finish. The body was extremely light and wattery. What do you expect though? This is the crossover beer for BMC lovers.
