| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 30, 2009 12oz bottle from Lukas in KC. Pours a mostly clear, amber-orange body with a finger-width, fizzy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is grainy, caramels, and funky apples. Flavor is bad. There’s a biscuity caramel malt along with a light earthy bitterness, but a funky, slightly sour apple flavor is everpresent. Finishes dry with a light sour, bready caramel, low amount of earthy bitterness that lingers for a short duration. Light to medium bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Overall, this is either poorly made in general or poorly packaged. Hell, it could be both. This is sub-par. tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA

O’Malley’s is improving. On tap at O’Malley’s during the Irish Festival in 2008. The body was deep copper with a very light possibly khaki head. The aroma was caramel with some strong grainy notes. There was also some brown bread. The taste was bread crust and iced tea with some toffee. A dry finish. Pretty good for this brewer.
