Commercial Description:
Deep burgundy color with a big, fluffy head. Complex fruit aromas with a layered sweetness (honey, then caramel, then toffee) with a hint of licorice and chocolate. A big, rich, abbey-style ale that dries out nicely on the finish.

Pours a deep reddish brown with a medium tight tan head. Aroma is nice enough with some roasty malt and some cherry with a nice little mild nuttiness. The flavor is mildly sweet with a high hoppiness for the style but the earthy hops seem to fit in just fine. There is a good fruity cherry and apple thing going on with a mild rum note thrown in there.

Ruby copper pour with thin beige head. Aroma is plum, date, fig, raisin, and some spicy clove yeast character. Overripe banana takes a slight back seat, but remains evident throughout. Flavor is tart, dark fruit, and a slight warming alcohol that combines with a moderate hop character to form a delicious balance of flavors. Citrus and sweet malt are prevalent. Palate is prickling with carbonation, subsiding into a full smooth mouthfeel with a bone dry finish.

The little shop up the road has these in a four pack for $9. A real treat for the price. Love the banana and dark fruit aroma. Great, over ripe fruit and creamy malt flavor with just enough spice to enliven the brew. Stays on the tongue for a long but controlled time.

50 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA via Omaha. Deep brown/ruby colour, malty fruit aroma, some prune and clove notes. Smooth, somewhat sweet flavor, with raisin and ripe berry flavors. Long sweet finish.

Hazy reddish brown poured from 12oz bottle. Big frothy mostly lasting tan head. Fruity aroma hints of aniseed. Full, almost syruppy, on tha palate. Sweetish with floral taste and crisp fruity finish.

Absolutely gorgeous burgandy hue on the pour, off white head.
Baked bread, Sweet, Fruit, hint of sour funk. Touch of spice.
