The flavor is sweet with strong notes of yeast, but also notes of wood, prunes, and berries, as well as hints of the alcohol. It is very sparkling on the tongue due to the carbonation, and it ends of with a slight alcohol burn.

The body is solid and full with plenty of roasted malt. Sweet, fruity notes - of dried fruit like raisins in particular. Also very warming alcohol in the finish. 291205

Apr 18, 2008 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy amber/deep orange to brown with a huge light tan head. Light spiced, mild fruity and yeasty aroma. Flavour is sweet fruity with a light caramel and mild yeasty note following. Nicely spiced to provide some dryness and light acidic touch to the otherwise rather sweet dubbel brew. Light estery finish. Goes fantastic with barbequed chicken and turkish potatoes.
