Some spiced aroma. Amber coloured strong in alcohol and a little sweet on the palate and malty. A little bitterness in a crisp malt finish. TBone (6842), Pori, Finland

Muddy brown color, small beige head. Chocolaty and a bit fruity, propably some notes of oxidation. First impression: anise ... then some licorice, caramel backed with malts. Short finish, alcohol is very well hidden. Very interesting, something similar to Gouden Carolus Christmas. Fabulously balanced. Maria (6306), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2008 It’s very beautiful, dark, red mahogany with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has sweetness, dark fruits, spice, yeast and alcohol. The flavour is just like the aroma complex and vinous; sweetness, malt, caramel, dark fruits, raisin and figs dominate, alcohol, spice and hints of licorice.
