| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Corked and caged 750. Brown-orange pour with a big foamy beige head. Sweet, yeasty malt nose, somewhat fruity. Caramel and brown sugar notes. Lightly sweet fruit and spice flavors transition to a peppercorn dry finish. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Pours a purplish/brownish (almos mauve) with a heavy haze and a quick but huge tan head. Last dregs of the bottle give the brew a septic look. Doppelesque aromas with rich malts, light sweat & alcohol with a spiciness that is invasive upon the sinus cavity. A fluffy, explosive mouth carries raisin and caramel to a sour, dirty finish.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2004 Dark burgundy with a very short-lived fizzy tan head. The aroma is very sweet at first, caramel and chocolate, then some toffee. The flavor is a nice caramel and toffe combo. There is some dark fruit action going on also, plums maybe. The finish is dry and lively. The body is medium full. I really like this beer. I started drinking this stuff eons ago and have just now gotten around to rating it. I think that I enjoy it more now than I used to. Yum. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
