Creamy pureed dried fruit, banana, and spiced sugar cookie aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet up from with caramel and dried fruit, and gets dry and alcoholic in the finish while remaining smooth. The mouthfeel is luxurious and soft, but with lots of carbonation. Pretty light on the tongue as well. While the yeast is relatively subtle, it provides a very nice profile for the beer overall. I know it’s been said a thousand times at this point (possibly literally), but this is a great dubbel that is very authentic for an American-made beer, even if the brewery is Belgian-owned. dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA

Fruity apple, malty, Belgian yeast aroma. Smooth crisp malt taste with some hints of fruit, Belgian spice and yeast. Very good version of the style. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA

A rich mahogany sunset that is almost hypnotising. I thought I was in Aruba on the beach at dusk. Has a ballanced flavor profile with slight earth and fruit. Nice dry finish. Alcohol is well hidden. A tasty ale indeed. I highly recommend. holdenn (1444), Chicago, Illinois, USA

So after passing this up on the shelves so many times, i figured it was time to try this. Pours an amber brown like browning fruit with a tall beige head. Nose is red apples, yeast spice, carmel, toffee, and some other dark fruits. Over carbonated on the tongue but the flavors come out similar to the nose red fruit, dried fruit, yeast, toasted, hints of toffee and chocolate with a carmel backbone. Finishes dry due to the extra carbonation and alcohol. A decent beer especially for its decent price. Just what I was in the mood for. adrian910ss (1435), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
