Aroma is light fruit, banana, chocolate, raisins, and some yeast. Flavor is fizzy banana, raisin, light fruit, and some chocolate and orange peel. Interesting; sour orange comes out in the flavor as the beer warms. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA

Rich in its aroma of sweet malt and spicey yeast. Flavor reflects the very same with nice tocuhes of sugar and caramel. A real treat that i had been sleeping on for the longest time. wilkie (1192), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Spicy coriander in aroma, slight smell of yeast. Flavor is similar, but with alarming spiciness at the beginning. Alcohol afterburn. Good beer. jcr (1184), Jasper, Indiana, USA

One tasty beer that keeps your buds hopping from one flavor to another - the malts, the raisins, the honey. Good balance of sweet and bitter. The 8.5% alcohol is nicely hidden. Poured brown with a creamy yellowish head that left a thin layer lasting and good lace. Aromas of fruits, caramel, and a licorice background. The flavor found a nice mix of fruit and malts with a light licorice background. Medium body, dry, lively carbonation. Enjoyable!! RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

Comparable to an Abbey dubbel, Ommegang was similar in every way to the style ... except the alcohol presence had a vaguely medinical quality to it that I found distasteful. Other than that, it was a pleasant enough brew.
