Deep rich brown with ruby and copper tints. Very malty and fruity aroma. Toffee, caramel, biscuit malt, plummy fruit, light toastiness, some honey. There is also some nice dark cherry aromas in here. Some heavy sweaty spiciness, a little bit of dustiness with some lingering malt sweetness. Toasty finish with a bit of light molasses and licorice. Great complexity and well balanced. yngwie (5000), Kristiansand, Norway

Sweetish, roasted, slightly oxidized aroma and flavor. A bit too oxidized flavor I think. Full-bodied, slightly sourish in the mouth, and quite sticky. A nice beer, but considering it being quite fresh, it shouldn’t taste as oxidized as a twenty year old beer. (071103) ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Nicely carbonated with a slikly aftertaste. Flavors of dark fruit, with tones of oak and pecans underneath, and finally a bit of alcohol in the finish. Palate is left tingling, very excited. Cloudy brown with a creamy tan head, it smelled of caramel, brown sugar, and was lightly spiced. The flavor of this medium-bodied ale is toffee & caramel with white peppers and a suggestion of chocolate, all followed up by a surge of alcohol in the spicy finish. Not a complex strong ale, but a good one.

Cloudy reddish color with a huge frothy off-white head that diminished very slowly leaving good lacing. Good complex fruit and wine aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Good fruity flavor with a sweet finish that had a moderate duration with no alcohol bite. Very good brew for number 700.
