Rich fruity tones with hints of cherry, rasberry and choclocate. Smooth lingering finish. Most excellent. Duster72 (117), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

I couldn’t agree more. This beer has an interesting mix of dark fruit flavors with just enough citrus on top to keep it refreshing. A touch of sweetness keeps you coming back for sip after sip. jameswolfe (142), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

Nice sour yeasty and fruity scent hints at the flavor to come. Well balanced witha tinge of alcohol and a lont finish. norsedoc (162), USA

Flavor is full with and slightly sweet. Chocolate notes, not very sour at all. Dry finish. Better than most Belgian dubbels I’ve tried. thoramel (39), USA

Lots of flavors come through in layers starting with fruit and moving through to chocolate and a little bit of alcohol. Complemented the cappucino cheesecake my wife made perfectly. golubj (1288), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2007 Cask of dry-hopped version at the Blind Tiger. The aroma was fruit, clove, belgian malt, and pine. The flavor was similar with the belgian malt taking a back seat to the fruit, clove and pine hop finish. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one because I disliked the Urthel hopped belgian, but this was really quite good. Great mouthfeel on cask, and the typical yeast found in belgians wasn’t really there (which was probably a good thing). BrendanC (31), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Beautiful deep reddish brown in color, with massive full light brown head. Pleasant fruit aroma. The fruit aroma carried over with a crisp fruit flavor, followed by some spiciness. Very well balanced. The alcohol content is apparent, but not overpowering. Very drinkable. I spent $4.50 on a 25 oz. bottle. Well worth it. MNovak (32), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
