Commercial Description:
Deep burgundy color with a big, fluffy head. Complex fruit aromas with a layered sweetness (honey, then caramel, then toffee) with a hint of licorice and chocolate. A big, rich, abbey-style ale that dries out nicely on the finish.

I like it! Remindes me of Duvel But made in the states. Straw and smokey nice head fades out at a slow medium rate. Banana bread scent and taste. a rweal winner!

Wow, this beer is a great deal for a little over $5. Classic dark fruits, figs and raisin, nice carbonation. All comes together in a nice finish. This is a go to beer for me.

.750l Poured deep red, like a Cape Red wine with a big fluffy beige head. Fruit, raisins and malty aroma. Flavour of malt, caramel, toffee. Big malt finish. This is a winner and one to sip and savour.

pours a dark ruby red with a nice one finger stiff brown head. aroma is dark fruits, yeast, and a touch of candy sugar and alcohol. has a medium to full body with good lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but a bit stronger. another good one from ommegang! as it warms it is a little more aromatic and the flavor smooths out a bit. there is also some wood aroma and flavor that show up. there is also a tart aftertaste and is a touch dry.

Pours a really tan head and a dark reddish brown body. Strong fruity aroma with some burnt sugar thrown into the mix. Heavy thick and dark fruit taste. Has some notes of oak and there are a bunch of subtle hops. Spices and malts abound. The palate is a little syrupy and there is a sweet sugary finish, but not excessively so. Taste sticks to your mouth afterward. This was a really tasty dubbel.

Dark color with amber tint. Think tan head. Complex aroma. Cola, Grape, citrus, wood and alcohol all noted. Good lacing. Medium-full body. Milky, cherry-like with great balence. Grape=-ike sweetness, with some marshmello(?) and almond. Nice, complex, interesting.

750 ml bottle. Cloudy dark amber color, a head that lasts forever, sweet with a wide variety of tastes and 8.5 ABV that will definitely do the trick. Superb.
