Commercial Description:
Deep burgundy color with a big, fluffy head. Complex fruit aromas with a layered sweetness (honey, then caramel, then toffee) with a hint of licorice and chocolate. A big, rich, abbey-style ale that dries out nicely on the finish.

Pours from the 12 oz. bottle a somewhat hazy iced tea-ish brown color with the traditional huge Belgian head that quickly settles into a thick collar. Very active carbonation, quite a few bubbles rising through the brown haze. Aroma is sweet and fruity...my nose picks up hints of peach, apple and apricot. first sip is almost orgasmically delicious! Raisins, plums, peach, apricot, caramel, honey... all soaked in a rum like alcohol backdrop...but the alcohol acts a a compliment to the chorus. Present, but not overpowering. Mouthfeel is rich, creamy & tingly with some alcohol bitterness on the swallow, but again, nothing overpowering. My, oh my! Simply fantastic!!! Now the Baseball Hall of Fame drops to second place on the list of reasons to visit Cooperstown!

Great, unidentifiable fruity aromas, rich, thick head upon pouring. Hints of fruit, chocolate and coffee on the palate. Very well-balanced, nearly no taste of alcohol. Long, sweet and smooth finish. A great beer!

A wonderful brew. Beautiful dark amber color. Smell has a bouquet of scents in it: something lemony, something sweet, and even something floral almost. Wonderful hop taste up front with a smooth finish. Hard to believe such a high alcohol % from something so smooth!

Enjoy this beer alot, had a very good taste, very enjoyable, highly recommend trying this out, split it between 2 other friends, so about 1 glass per person, good amount of alchohol.

Beautiful reddish brown color. Clove and bread aroma and initial palate. Rich alcohol and spicy yeast finish. Carmelized sugar lingers. Damn good.

750ml bottle. Raisin and something slightly sour in the aroma besides malty sugar. Flavor is round caramel and candy. Lingering finish is exquisite. So much flavor is contained in each mouthfull it’s hard to figure it all out, it makes each sip more interesting then the last. Hop character isn’t apparent, it’s just enough to balance all the amazing sugar and malt flavors. Yay beer!
