Mar 7, 2007 Drank 750 ml bottle, 10 celcius, aged 1 1/2 year imported from US. Strange musroom like aroma, almost thought it was corked! Dark amber opalescent pour with extremely rich yellow foam head. Very complex malty flavour with notes of dates, dark cherries and partly refined dark sugar. Exceptional maltiness. Full thick palate with lively fizz and long finish. Buy it and forget it in a closet for a year, it’s well worth it!

Aug 20, 2008 12 oz bottle from premier gourmet. pours hazy dark amber with a lovely tan head that is thick and luxurious throughout your drinking experience. the aroma is of dark fruit, pale malts and belgian yeast (loses one point for noticeable alcohol). caramelized rum soaked raisons. the flavours are similar but they are accompanied by a soft comforting mouthfeel that in my mind is perfect for a dubble. my bottle was fresh but a little age on this would make it almost impossible to beat. very good brew that i wish i could purchase regularily.

Jul 12, 2008 Enjoy this beer alot, had a very good taste, very enjoyable, highly recommend trying this out, split it between 2 other friends, so about 1 glass per person, good amount of alchohol.

Aug 17, 2009 Beautiful reddish brown color. Clove and bread aroma and initial palate. Rich alcohol and spicy yeast finish. Carmelized sugar lingers. Damn good.

Sep 12, 2009 750ml bottle. Raisin and something slightly sour in the aroma besides malty sugar. Flavor is round caramel and candy. Lingering finish is exquisite. So much flavor is contained in each mouthfull it’s hard to figure it all out, it makes each sip more interesting then the last. Hop character isn’t apparent, it’s just enough to balance all the amazing sugar and malt flavors. Yay beer!

Feb 28, 2007 Normally I do not like anything from New York, but Ill make an exception for Cooperstown. A very nice beer with lasting flavor. Pours very smoothly and has a taste that lasts, in a good way.
