Commercial Description:
Ale brewed with Spices: Coriander, Cardamon, Mace, Grains of Paradise, Sweet Orange Peel. Adoration is a traditional winter ale, brewed in the Belgian manner, but with the twist of unusual spicing. Sip it on a winter eve sitting before a fire. You’ll understand why we couldn’t name it anything else.

I have no adoration for this beer and I knew I wouldn’t as soon as I smelled it: that grainy, overwrought coriander spicy characteristic that ruins Salvation for me. The entire flavor rounds this out a little bit, but cannot cover up the premise of an American brewer in over their head with imitation. Shoots for quad and hits Spice/Herb/Vegetable.

Thin head of fine bubbles with great carbonation. Does not last long. Sweet dark fruit, cherries, malts, and some spices. Dark mahagony brown in color. Slight tartness from a hint of raspberry/cherry along with lots of malts and spices, a bit of dry chalkyness and some caramel. A nice combination of flavors. Hides its alcohol well. Finishes sweet and tart and spicy. This is a damn good brew. Me likey!

Bottle: pours with a large off white head that stays. This sits atop a hazy amber brown body. Aroma is full of sweet spices; cardomon mostly but good orange and corriander very nice. Nice estery dark ftuits blend great with the spices, awsome aroma one of the best spice beer aromas i have had. Wow the flavor is great the mix of spices and dark fruits is fantastic. Some alcohol sneaks in yo let you know that you arw drinking a big beer.

Pours bright mahogany into a trappist glass. Off-white head quickly recedes to skim surface. Sugar plum and nutmeg aromas. Full with upfront sweet gingerbread and a lasting allspice finish.

reddish brown with white head. sweet nose, mild carbonation, little hop bitterness. sweet malt before some almost roasty like flavors with a lot of candy like belgian yeast notes, alcohol almost completely absent. an interesting brew and a good one, doesn’t really fit in a style specifically. enjoyable on a winter’s eve

Pours dark amber with a a small offwhite head. Smells tangy with some paint. Flavor is full of bitter fruit and some wine like qualities. Finishes decently with some yeast in the end. A nice beer be there’s something artificial about it.

On tap at Toronado. Surprising. Wasn’t sure what this was. Love Ommegang. This was totally out of their profile. Strong, boozy, delicious. Something that could age well. In their CAVES. It was tasty. Hit the tongue almost like a sherry and with a blast of alcohol. My kinda beer. Turned happy hour into happier hours. Highly recommended if you like them strong.

So rich. Pretty good holiday brew. Poured with a smallish off white head and a tiny bit a lace. Color is a hazy medium amber. Aroma is a very rich, heady, malty nutty, caramel, toffee. Flav is about the same. Body is good and so is carbonation. Finish is a little long. Not a session. Cook with it?

750ml bottle 12/22/09 (Binny’s-Downers Grove)-Pours a dark brown with hints of amber with a medium off whtie head. Aroma of fruits, spices, and malt. Taste begins with big time spices and they last throughout the mouthful and it finishes with some sweetness and slight alcohol. This medium to full bodied brew is not the best from them but still very tasty and nice for the holidays.
