| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Pours cloudy golden with some yeast chunks and a large white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. Hints of apples and some funk. Aroma is pleasant and inviting. Flavor is a belgian style dominated by yeast. Some funk in there but not overwhelming, the acidity level from the brett was a nice compliment. It didn’t overpower the beer yet it was present in the undertone. This is a well done brett brew, somehow managed to control all the competing flavors and put out a quality product. I will seek this out again. eaglefan538 (2364), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Bottle from SL. Pour was full amber-orange with some haze, large generous head, good lacing all the way down. The aroma was fruity (apples at the fore?), some funk. The flavor followed, apples, other fruits, some funk, but some astringency to this, not nearly as clean as I’d have expected, and there was an acidity to this that wasn’t pleasing. Another recent Ommegang release that didn’t live up to my hopes, way many other BdG/BdM brews superior out there. hoppopotamus (185), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2009 A hazy brown with a huge fluffy off-white head that sticks around. The aroma is yeast, spice, and bready maltiness with some light fruit. The flavor is somewhat subdued, but mostly bready malt and belgian yeast flavor stick out. A little tart. Not a bad beer, but not spectacular. Refreshing. fiver29 (718), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Bottle pours hazy dark orange with off white thick pillowy head. Aroma is brett with some sweet fruit. These are pretty subtle. Mouthfeel has a lot of carbonation. This is almost champagne like. Flavor is focuses on the brett flavors. Barn, hay, musk, just good ole funk. Finishes very crisp and dry. Everything about the flavor is very subtle. And very smooth. This is a nice brew.
