Apr 18, 2009 750ml bottle-pours a foamy off white head that disappeared and gold/amber color. Aroma is a funky yeast, white grapes, grainy/bread, some spice/vinuous. Taste is very funky yeast, dry, dry, white grapes/vinuous, lemon-sour/tart. Cold is better, but not my taste. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for sharing this.

Apr 16, 2009 I’m on the low end here. Turbid copper pour with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is spicy yeast, funk, fruit. Tastes spicy and yeasty up front, with sour fruit, hops, and floral dryness late. Medium palate heft that is very carbonated and stays dry throughout.

Apr 12, 2009 Batch #2, Oct. 2008. Served in a Bells snifter, a bit on the cool side. A nice mix of toasty malt, barnyardy brett, and floral hops. Pretty nice. I like the maltier base beer and the brett is very, very nice. This will certainly get more dry and bretty, but right now it is so nicely balanced (for this type of beer) that it is hard to believe that more brett will improve the overall beer.

Pours a lasting head, over a slightly cloudy golden orange (SRM 15).....nose is spicy, nutmeg, bit of cinnamon, no hop....tastes of sweet malts initially, with nut meg spice, finish is medium pleasant bitterness, sweetness builds as it warms....mouth feel is medium, carbonation light. This is a good beer, and meets its style well.

Apr 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours sparkling amber with a small, fizzy, white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), light hops (grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of bubble gum and bandage. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Apr 10, 2009 Pours a two finger cream head that fades slowly, leaving a good lace. Ugly cloudy, amber color with a ton of suspended yeast. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Yeast nose. Flavor is dominated by the yeast, some citrus. Who said this was a Belgian amber?? Pricey at $13.20 for a 750ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Apr 10, 2009 From a bottle poured brown with a lot of fluffy head. Nice malty/hoppy flavor with a slight tartyness, and lingering finish.
