The aroma is a little bretty with some citrus and other lightly tart fruit. The flavor is clean and clear, nice light sweetness, some citrus and earth, and a well balanced hint of brett that isn’t overly musty, but adds restrained funky and tart character. Very good. arrogantb (710), Denver, Colorado, USA

Hazy orange color and an aroma that is definitely bretty, but I only caught exactly one whiff of funky barn, the rest was just kind of yeasty and a little chemical. As it warms up it turns into a really nice juicy, fruity aroma. Very interesting flavor with the slightest bit of tartness at the end. I am really struggling to define the flavor but it seems mostly yeasty with a hint of citrus but the brettanomyces is definitely noticeable. This was interesting but nowhere near worth $12.49.

Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium amber, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs, apricot), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, barnyard), with light notes of clove/cinnamon, autumn leaves, black tea, and band-aid.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
A restrained, easy-going, stepping-stone rendition that’s pleasant and easy to drink but doesn’t really offer the sort of depth and nuance of the top-tier examples. Very fizzy and watery. Good but not great. dogfish120love (275), west hartford, Connecticut, USA

Pours clear copper orange with a bit of white head. The nose reveals a bit of brett as it warms. Its a bit dusty and comes off a bit like citrus dish soap. There’s a bit of an herbal hop nose as well. The flavor is a bit of the yeasty brett character with maybe some munich malt. Light body with high carbonation and a dry finish. Seems to have something missing though. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Bottle shared by stopbarking. Thanks Daniel! Pours a light amber color with a small fizzy short lived white head in a snifter. Smell is very bretty and dusty with some light citrus fruitiness. Taste is bretty, funky and a bit sweeter than anticipated with a lemony tang to it as well. Not overly sweet at all, and finishes slightly dry with the dusty yeast flavor. Nicely carbonated and light to medium body. An enjoyable and pretty easy drinking beer all around.
