Slightly murky, dark golden to light brown with a silky tight white head that sticks around a while. Fresh aroma with some hints of grass, muted citrus, and just a bit of sourness. Flavor has some yeasty notes, some fruitiness - peaches perhaps, some earthy funkiness, a hint of spearmint and just a touch of caramel. Mouthfeel has just the right amount of spritziness without losing its thickness and creaminess. Very good - but just does not have that lip-smacking goodness I have come to expect from Ommegang. tarheels86 (752), Washington DC, USA

Pours a cloudy bright orange with yeast floaties and a huge yellow head with great retention and sheety lacing. Aroma of orange peel, brett yeast, little barnyard, funk, potpourri, citrus hops, tart fruits. Taste is creamy at first and then moves to tart fruit with a white pepper kick and dry hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Long, bitter finish. Very good. nhorween (640), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Tart and fresh smelling, brett, orangey hops, white pepper. Similar flavor, very soft and subtle. Lightly peppery, lemon, orange, lightly bready, excellent yeast quality. Funk is barley there, and very well integrated. Light hops. Mouthfeel is amazingly soft, and perfect for the style. Nicely brewed. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 13, 2009 From the bottle pours orange, just a light haze, with a tall off-white head. I really dug this brew, great nose of dry spice and a soft cheese note, almost aged Fantome-like. Apricot and citrus come through with a soft pepper note to the finish. Dry and slightly tart end to it. Really well built. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Bottle Batch 2: Pours a slightly hazy copper with an off white head. Nice yeast character in the aroma- lightly horsey brett notes, earthy with a sweet, mild fruit presence of raisin and prune. A touch spritzy on the palate. Dry flavor overall- light horsey brett with just a touch of malt sweetness coming through giving off a prune-like note under the chalky/peppery brett. Nice and dry, but it’s missing nuance and complexity. Gaseous and dry, but still pretty good overall. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Orange color with a very thick head. Lots of sediment. Spicy aroma, with some light fruit and a touch of barnyard. The flavor is a little bit more funky but still remains a sweet, malty, full bodied beer that’s easy to drink and enjoyable as hell. Hats off to Ommegang. GMCC2181 (862), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
