Commercial Description:
Ommegang Biere de Mars is a fine Belgian-style amber ale with a bit of magical space dust woven in: Brettanomyces Bruxellensis, a wild yeast which imparts added tartness, extra zing, and a touch of funk - while dry hopping enhances the hop aroma.

75ml. Batch #2, October, 2008. Large, frothy, off-white head that slowly diminishes. Hazy medium amber body with some large floaters. Brett aromas dominate the nose — lacquer, band-aid, barnyard, cobweb. Less noticable are notes of tea, clove and herbs. Hints of floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter with some tartness. Medium body with lively carbonation and a watery texture. Fairly straightforward beer. Good.

Bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. Semi-hazy orange red pour with minimal ring of whitish head. Nose of citrus. Flavor of clove, honey, and oranges. Effervescent mouthfeel. This will take the enamel off your teeth. Good beer and good palate cleanser.
