Pours a lovely reddish amber with a playful white-orange head. Nose is loads of citrus fruit, some raspberry, strawberry and banana thrown in for good measure. Body follows with similar flavors, but has a surprising amount of hop sweetness. Struck me as a lollipop for serious beer drinkers, without being a Leinenkugel sunset wheat. Would like to try this again.

This is a style I’m not too familar with but most stuff from Ommegang is damn good. Pours a muddy brownish orange body with tons of yeast sediment at the bottom of my glass. Big, fluffy off-white head. Aroma is mild citrus, grass, yeast, malt and funky notes. Flavor is spicy, slightly hopped, lemon, caramel, yeast and malt. Lively, zesty mouthfeel, full of carbonation. Solid beer, but there wasn’t enough bold flavor for me. TonyDiUlio (197), New Jersey, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Bottle. Pours an extremely hazy orange with lots of sediment and small white head. The aroma is tart. The taste is very smooth, extremely smooth actually, reminds me of a Jolly Pumpkin Beer. Little less flavor than a JP. tripelthreat (83), Soquel, California, USA

Nose is musty, citric, floral with notes of strawberry at times. Flavor bready, lightly spiced with some tart and bitter elements. Finishes nicely dry with lingering funk and spices. Soft and smooth. Very enjoyable. CaptainCougar (5523), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of earthy musty biscuity malts and some coriander and light spice. Body starts light and effervescent with a grassy bittering and flavor hop balance atop a lightly sweet biscuity maltiness. A pretty refreshing and enjoyable brew. BlackForestCO (828), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Batch 2, October 2008 bottle. Poured a clear copper-orange color with a towering, pillowy off-white head that slowly settled and and left some spotty lacing as it did. Aroma of funky, dusty yeast with light hints of barnyard hay paired with soft, delicate fruit (tangerine, peach skin) and some earthy, dry hops. Moderately tart, crisp entry with hints of hay and some light fruit (apple, tangerine) combined with some lightly dry, earthy hops that give way to a lightly funky, dusty yeastiness that lingers into the finish with some light undertones of dry fruit (orange peel, peach skin). Moderate carbonation and relatively dry, authentic palate. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer, but I thought it would develop a bit more dryness over a years time. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Corked bottle. Pours a beautiful amber with lively carbonation and a healthy head of white. Aroma is cinnamon, peach, light coriander, a touch of cedar, and a pinch of pumpkin. Flavor is light, musty barnyard with leaves of lemon and and sweet celery. Flat but semi-lively mouthfeel. I like this beer. Light, crisp, and refreshing. Definite repeat. 17thfloor (1504), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Bottle from Dec 08 enjoyed 11.28.09. Lightly sweet tart aroma, lots of brett, great funk. Flavor is well balanced, woody, tongue depressor, light band-aid, great amount of brett, lightly sweet, very similar to the New Glarus R&D. Medium/light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation, so easy drinking. Wow, much better than it was in March, very similar to the New Glarus. Love it! FunkyBrewster (504), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Thanks 17thfloor for sharing on brew day! Pours a deep golden red with a creamy small light cream head and some sediment. Aroma is very nice, lightly spicy, plenty of funky and overripe fruits sitting in the barn. Sweet Brett character and just enough sweet to keep things in check. Flavor starts mellow and sweet, nice dark fruit and some spices playing around. Slowly gains oomph and gains a nice soft tartness that doesn’t get overwhelming. Finishes dry lemony and grassy with a bit of funk. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, nice rounded character.
