Hammster (187), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Dec 7, 2007 750 ml bottle. Poured with a very large white cloudy head. Color was very light blonde with some cloudiness. Very sweet aroma of dark fruit and spice. Taste is mild compared to Duvel but this is like it’s little brother. A steal at less than $6 a bottle. ALways a pleasure to have a nice saison.
sfhodense (95), Odense NØ, Denmark Jan 7, 2009 Clear pale yellow, with a large offwhite head. Aroma is crisp, with notes of cirtus. Flavor is clean saison like, with notes of fresh citrus. sinkr (146), Lusby, Maryland, USA Jan 5, 2009 750->tulip: Pours a huge, frothy, white head atop a yellow body. Aroma of banana and candy and light vinegar. Light body, thin texture, and fizzy carbonation. Flavor’s duration is average, being lightly acidic. Not one of my favorites, but I could drink this one again. thejoeshow (211), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jan 4, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a light yellow color with a very large white frothy head that has great retention and very nice lacing. Aroma is citrus and a bit of lemon zest. Sweet smelling with hints of spice and yeast. Flavor is smooth light citrus a bit of lemon. Very effervescent mouthfeel, spritzy. It is very enjoyable and easy to drink. ccvenot (4), , California, USA does not count Jan 3, 2009 Very nice Saison! Refreshing in the summer yet still full bodied enough to be cozy in winter. Balanced flavor throughout, good proportions of smoothness and bitterness. Perfect carbonation and a nice head with every pour. Hard to find the four pack of small bottles, I’d drink it more if they were more available.
cspring (14), Maineville, Ohio, USA Jan 3, 2009 Bottle from 3 bottle craft pack. Pours golden with a white head. Crisp beer with hint of a citrus finish. Good beer.
