Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Looks and tastes more like a wheat beer than a saison. Not too different from a Hoegaarden. Light hazy golden color with little head. Some spice and cloves and yeast flavors present, with a bit of a bite to the finish. A very enjoyable beer.

Refrigerated bottle. Pours a clear light golden color with a big fluffy white head. Good carbonation, nice lacing, and nice body. The taste is floral spice with a hint of tartness. This beer is slightly warming and in general is pretty good, but not something I would go out of my way for.

Pours out a dark gold with a lingering white head. Aroma is pretty malty with a bit of skunk detected? Taste is sweet, and the alcohol is noticeable. A pretty unique beer but not Ommegang’s best.

Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, clove, wheat and mild sweetness. Taste is crisp sweet malt and a slight hop citrus. Clean finish, good stuff.

Light golden pour with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of floral grain and resin. Slightly acidic and tart. Light body.

From the Fort Worth Gingerman. Hazy yellow with lots of white head. Aroma of spices, citrus, and banana. Tons of banana flavor with a little spice and an alcohol finish.

750 mL bottle. Poured hazy, golden and straw-colored, with a medium foamy white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, orangepeel and citrus, and bubblegum. Taste is sweet, slight bubblegum, with a slightly sour, alcohol-laden finish. Lively and carbonated. I haven’t had too many of the style, but I was pretty impressed by this. Would definitely drink this again.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a large thick white long lasting head. It has the aroma of bread, wheat and spices. Tastes of bread and coriander with a little lemon and banana. This is a wonderful and complex beer and I would love to drink it again.

Hazy golden color; Light to medium creamy body; Aroma of wheat, fruit/floral, and spice; Flavor of sweet hops, citrus, light fruit, spice, and some lemon/tart overtones; Very nice dry finish; High carbonation on this one - champagne like; Overall, a very good brew.
