Ommegang Noel

Sampled at Max’s American Beer Fest. I was told by the bartenders at Max’s that Ommegang brewed a test batch of this for Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore so that they could elicit feedback. Apparently this is Ommegang’s attempt at a Delirium Noel clone. Pours a translucent, hazy orange/amber/brown with no head - but that could have been the pour too. Sweet, candy aroma with sticky fruits and some booze. Flavors are the same. Heavy on the palate and sticky. Admittedly this isn’t my favorite style but I’m not sure they made a good clone.
