Hugely sour and earthy with lemon sourness and bite on the end. This reminds me so much of Jolly Pumkin. MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Bottle purchased at the Friendly Mini Mart on Detroit in Lakewood for $9.99. Pour was a heavy-headed hazy yellow. Once it rested down to a normal level of foam I stuck my nose into it. Man, funky lemon farmhouse scents abound. There is a hefty scent of wet straw and earth. Flavor is a bit more refined, aka: less funky. It really has a nice clean initial oily grassy malt flavor that brings a nice crispness to it. Almost bitter- almost sour- it has a nice middle of the road zing to it. Once again the ’gang from Cooperstown doesn’t disappoint. nuplastikk (1252), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 1, 2009 750ml corked bottle. Thick, murky orange-tan color with a frothy, thick head. Sour aroma of brettanomyces and funky farmhoue wheat. Lemony brett taste at first almost sandy on the palate. The dry bitterness of the hops really shines as you get into the beer. Complex and enjoyable, an interesting balance between sour and bitter. Excellent. Aubrey (2781), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Golden with nice head that reactivates easily. Fairly clean tasting with some funkiness from start to finish. Grains, white pepper and some saltiness. Sweetness is mild. Light on the tongue though it has solid creaminess along with a smooth carbonation. Pleasant beer. Funk is approachable. Bitterness is there but not too much. Probably not enough. Subtle notes of light pear and fermented apples. Rciesla (3845), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Batch 1 served 2 years old. Its sad how this beer did not improve at all in fact it just tastes like light swiss cheese and feathers with a light citrus note. To bad this didn’t age well...3.4 kassner (471), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA

All sorts of subtle flavorsand the ginger works great, Probably the hops which come through here better than many attempts to make ahopped Belgian. Not as sour a taste, very malty apple flavor, slightly tart. Very refreshing and fruity and hints of spices, I found it tasty. GregClow (2515), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
