| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Aroma: nice, very hoppy, grassy, banana, slightly musty, saison, yeasty, spicy, cinnamon, sourish horse blanket.
Flavour: nice malty balance, not that full-bodied - fresh. Some earth/funghi-funkiness, appetizing hop after-bitterness with sourish tangy funkbite.
Palate: smooth, but a little heavy carbonation. Fluffy, creamy.
Appearance: winegum pale yellow. White biere de garde-head.

Cloudy orange yellow with a lasting film of white head. Smell is a nice tart sour funk. Nice mild flavor - not too sour or funky. A hint watery actually. I expected it to be heavier - but it was nice and mild and a touch thin too. georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light amber with fluffy head. Aroma of peaches, nectarine, slight tangerine and sugar. Farmhouse ale taste. Too carbonated for my liking. Davinci (296), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2008 mildly hazy pale yellow pour with gushing white head. Cork popped off as soon as I undid the basket. Very funky nose. Horse blanket, soured grain, some peach, herbal spice. Sour and spicy on the palate, funky leather, bitter spice, some citrus. Tartness could be higher. Finishes dry and grassy, pleasantly bitter. Alcohol really comes through as it warms. esjaygee (1578), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Pale yellow with thin white head. Aroma of… the barnyard floor. Straw, hay and other unpleasantries you may find sitting atop. I think someone dropped a piece of fruit over there in the corner, because I can kind of smell it. Amazingly the taste was sweet though earthy. The finish was dry and mildly bitter. Perkeo (318), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Pretty sure this is batch one, purchased in East Dubuque Ilinois sept. 07. Clear golden, some viscosity indicated in the appearance but really nice balance between body and lactic acid and brett. on the palate. Not overly funky, just an added dimension and well done I say, subtlety is not a crime! Nice peachy flavor, alongside some herbaceous, goldings-like hop character, some quinine, maybe juniper, sort of saison like but a little flabby in the finish. Still, this is one of my favorite Ommegang beers I’ve ever tried! MesandSim (5940), London, Greater London, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Tom’s UGT Pt. 2. Nice blonde colour with a slim white head. Yeasty and more tripel than saison if you ask me. Good hops, nice spice very Belgian indeed with no real American character at all. A good Belgian style ale but nothing to go crazy about. indybigtom (14), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
