Straw-like flavors with essence of dry orange. Quite solventy, yet mimosa-like. Very dry ending with nice citrus vapors...Los of solvent flavors too. Very refined and classy. Me like. illidurit (891), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Bottle purchased from The Red in Santa Cruz. Poured into a goblet. Golden in color with a white head that quickly reduces to a thin cap.
Smells of unripe green grapes, apple, brett.
Tastes of grape skins, bittering hops, a bit of mellow fruitiness, a metallic note, musty brett, a dash of spice. Pretty underwhelming profile here.
Carbonation is fine and prickly, body is a shade thin of medium. A bit acrid in the finish. Not Ommegang’s best. TomDecapolis (3196), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Opened right around the six month mark. Pours a lightly hazy golden with a medium bubbly white head that left some lacing. Aroma of citrus, some light barnyard, brett starting to come through, some light funkiness, still a little sweet in the nose. Flavor of Saison spiciness, horse blanket, lemon, ginger, drying out nicely. OSLO (827), Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 24, 2008 Updated: May 27, 2008[Bottle] Pours hazy golden with small off-white head. Aroma and taste are both quite sour and funky with some yeast. Mouthfeel is too thin. A little bitterness on the finish along with some yeast. I really did not care much for this beer. 6/3/6/2/12=2.9
Update, 05/23/08: This was the first bottle that I tried where the brett finally was showing through. Significantly better, even if it is still rather average. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

hazy yellow, wispy white head, bits of lace,
light sweet malt aroma with a nice touch of leathery funk and floral hops,
sweet malt flavor is quickly balanced with the light earthy bret character, light bitterness, nice touch of lemony tartness, lasting bitter finish,
