Breadish aroma, poor, abit perfumy. Sweetish flavor, some mix of malt/cereals/cornish flavor, uninteresting, with a very light banana and vegetable touch. Not good. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

As other people have mentioned this beer isn’t really funky, although, it’s still a nice beer in my opinion. Fruity and crisp in the finish, long yeasty aftertaste. Bretts are there giving an earthy and almost citrusy quality. Not very sour, but very dry. I’m glad I have another bottle to age for a bit, I think this will improve a ton over a year or two. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 2, 2007 750ml bottle: poured a cloudy yellowish orange with a medium sized bright white head. Even with the head subsided, there is virtually zero aroma. Just ever so slight hops and alcohol. The taste is quite dry and again, very little brett or the funk they advertise on the bottle. Big bitter finish from the hops and a moderate alcohol bit. Disappointing to me. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Vaguely tart, citrusy nose with a whiff of yeast. Medium body with fruity accents and a somewhat astringent quinine-like bitterness. I would’ve thought that the Brett character had developed more by now. It’s hardly noticeable in this bottle. 301107 faroeviking (6125), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

Fruity and sweet, bit sour, wheaty flavour with some banana, some yeast and bitterness. Bitter yeasty finish. yesyouam (609), Fairport, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Ommegeddon is a cloudy hay-colored ale with a fluffy white head-- excellent retention and lacing. The aroma is spicy, sweet, sour, nutty, piney and soapy. Alcohol is in the nose. It is smooth but somehow hollow; medium bodied and very dry. It’s a little flat and the finish is crisp and arid. It’s buttery, a bit sour and nice and bitter-- a bit top-heavy even. It’s a little soapy and a touch leathery. It’s a very dry flavor. There is a bit of lemon and juniper at the end. It’s not extremely refined. The hops are nice but I wish there was a little more body to back it up. JAXSON (246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Kind of nondescript aroma of dry, sour brett and yeast. Flavor is a an explosion of sour fruits -- orange, grapefruit, lemon, with strong leather and barnyard tones and a really dry finish. There is a kind of harsh lingering flavor too. TheRimmer (483), Florida, USA
