| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2009 Thanks to ucusty for this one. Caged cork near blinded 3 people as it blew off after only 2 twists of the wire (but seriously, it exploded off the bottle with minimal effort - beware!). Pour is gushing cloudy yellow with huge rocky head, marvelous looking. Aroma is lemon, grass, hay, faint malt, brett funk, peaches and orange. Flavor is lemony, funky brett, black pepper (possibly the ginger), floral, lavender, and crisp. Alcohol seeps in too. Lots of character, I like it. MiP (9157), Sønderborg, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 27, 2009 Bottle at KØ09. Fruity aroma, slightly acidic. Cloudy orange colour. No head. The flavour starts off fruity, turning slightly acetic. Mild moldy aceticness. SFLpunk (132), South Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 27, 2009 750mL brown glass cork-finished. Batch #2, March 2008. Finally decided to pull this one from the back of the fridge.
Appearance: Poured into a Duvel tulip, beautiful golden hay color with fine particles, tiny bubbles, and a fluffy white head, 1 inch thick that recedes leaving lacing.
Nose: Apricot, sour peach, hay, figs (fresh), wild flowers, weathered wood (boards), summer breeze (to be poetic).
Palate: Holy sour! But with wonderful carbonation that is sudsy and explosive, really keeping the sourness in check by drying things out. Flavors are of sour peach, sour apricot, kumquat (big time), dried grass, lemon rind, parsley, green tea leaves, and a little funky/foxy/earthy/dirty-thing on the finish. Long, lingering finish is punctuated by the sourness, but not puckering. Sides of the mouth are left with the drying carbonation.
Notes: Sour, but not overtly funky. Has achieved excellent balance on the mouthfeel with the sourness and the explosive, dry carbonation working together in harmony, pulling the ends towards the middle. Has vastly improved since its release. Would love to see this one another year from now! saxo (3641), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark
