Bottle with cork. Spicy, yeasty aroma with a slight bread dough scent. Medium amber in color with a light tan thick head that lasts a long time. Sweet taste up front that slowly blends to a sour finish. Medium body, with a thick mouth feel, lively carbonated and a long finish. This is another great offering from Ommegang, give it a try.

Great aroma, chocked full of yeast and coriander and maybe even mango? Fruity stuff. Appearance is dark copper with a fairly significant head. Definite yeasty character in the flavor, also some citrus and ripe apple, almost like a dubbel in that sense. Palate is creamy and has an undercurrent of liveliness.

12 oz bottle. Aroma has a distinctive and similar style but is slightly lighter than others from Ommegang. Sweet toffee and caramel cookies, some almond nuttiness, apple and pear fruit, mild earthy hop undertones, and very minor olive. Enormous frothy milk head on the pour, decent retention, medium body opacity, and very sharp amber color. These guys never to seem to fail at making pretty beers. A great feeling beer as expected. Solid medium-light body, with nice balance the whole way through. Frosted cereal sweetness initially giving way to more fruity notes such as apple and pear like the aroma, toffee and some nuttiness also there. Bitter notes equally evident of earth, leaf, and minor herb, which comes out nicely in the finish which is short but flavorful. Overall, this is a more basic offering from Ommegang, but none-the-less, exceptionally well brewed and a delightful standard Belgian style ale.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are malt, hops, caramel and fruits.

I cannot believe I haven’t rated this. Had this near the end of last summer. poured a light copper with a white head. aroma malts, sugar, yeast, fruity. flavor sweet citrus, cloves and sweet malts very drinkable

Pale clear amber orange with two fingers of white head. Banana and clove aroma, some caramel. Taste is mild caramel, mostly banana and a light Belgian yeast spice.

On tap at the Mountaindale Inn. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Spicy, yeasty aromas. Medium bodied, crisp, and with a malty sweetness to it. Finishes light and mild.

750 ml corked. Pours orange/amber, mostly clear, with terrific head. Smells fruity. Body is light-to-medium with assertive carbonation, not unusual for a Belgian, but a bit more than I’d like (maybe it wold feel better in the summer). Fruitiness of apples, nectarines, peaches, etc., and some spiciness. Finish is abrupt in its dryness. Not quite the best from this brewery.
