Nose of toast, biscuit, light toffee and esters, pear, apple and light orange. Medium to light mouthfeel, mostly carbonation filling it. Flavors of biscuit, toast, light toffee, pears, apple, light white pepper and clove. Rather dry and light mouthfeel at the finish, more toast and biscuit than esters and phenols.

Pours a dark orange with a nice, creamy off-white head; good lacing. Assertive stone-fruit aroma and a bit of barnyard funk with a hint of citrus hop. Flavor is mild fruit, white grape mostly, slightly spicy, with just enough hop bitterness to balance the malt. Medium, round body and a slightly sour finish. Probably the best Ommegang brew I’ve had and one that really showcases the yeast character.

750ml. from Pristine Liquors in Spring Hill, FL. Pours a dark amber/sap color. Think white head. Aroma is yeast, floral notes, light malt, light citrus, not a strong enough smell. Flavor has a lot of citrus...quite a bit of yeast, a tiny hint of bitterness. Very smooth...quite a bit of carbonation, no aftertaste...really nice mouthfeel. Its alright...very drinkable...but its nothing really exciting. Definately the worst of the Ommegang beers that Ive had to date.

750 ml bottle: Pours amber with a frothy white head. A sweet aroma consisting of yeast, floral, and citrus fruits such as orange and grapefruit. Surprised by the level of carbonation. Tastes of sweet yeast, malt, hops, orange, and spice. The sweet yeast almost overpowers the rest of the flavor components. Very smooth and flavor does not linger long. Okay, but not great, for a Belgium Ale.

Pours amber with a huge white head (first pour) and fair lacings. Aroma is dominated by yeast. Taste is Belgian yeast strain, sweet malts, hint of bitter hops. Has a bit of boiled ham in the aftertaste. Overall an interesting beer that I probably won’t try again.

Notes from Indy Winterfest. Pours cloudy amber. Aroma is sweet and yeasty, and bread like. Flavor is like V8, yeast, and sweet malts. Mouthfeel is slightly thick. Overall a pretty good beer.

Mmmm I liked this one. Has a malty, almost like a wine scent. Nice hazy, deep gold color with a thick head. Has a nice and smooth malt/light hop flavor with yeasts present. Light carbonation. Aftertaste is as smooth as the entire experience from beginning to end. Overall, I am glad to have tried this one. This is a pleasure to have. If you anybody sees this in your liquor store, buy it, you won’t be let down.

750 ml bottle @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Amber color, off-white head. Floral aroma with spices. Sour berries and grapefruit in the flavor and some malts in the finish, which stops dead quite abruptly -- the beer is literally gone as soon as you swallow. Medium body, very high carbonation. The (lack of) finish kills the appeal for me.
