Jun 3, 2008 (0.75 l bottle at Pikkulintu on 2008-05-30) Amber colour and bit hazy (and cloudy after more yeast poured). Fruity and bit sour nose. Slightly fizzy, medium and a bit dry palate. Malts in taste. Some salty liquorice. Hops and yeast. Hoppy Belgian ale taste.

Jun 2, 2008 Poured a hazy orange into a tulip. Two finger head, diminishing to a 1/2 finger head that lasts. Good lacing. Aroma is sweet yeastiness, with peach and orange notes. No overpowering flavors, just a mix of malt and yeast. There was a hint of metallic in the initial sip, but it diminished as it warmed slightly. Easily detectable as a Belgian ale all throughout. I really like Ommegang’s beers, and this one is one I wish I could more readily get.

Jun 1, 2008 Bottle. 75cl. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity - apricot - peach, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (180408)

May 31, 2008 Awesome brew all around. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a full white head. lots of wheat charachter, soft aromas of clover and a sweet mouthfeel. It finishes really unique, almost like the sweetness retracts itself and then you want more.

May 30, 2008 Bottled. Amber colour with mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is yeast, fruits and sweet malts. Flavour is fruity, mildly spicy, sweet malty as well as yeasty. Wellbalanced and well made, but not that exciting.

May 29, 2008 Tap. Pours with a murky brown color and a small head. Has some fruity aroams but little of the yeast notes.
Flavor is also more grainy than yeasty, some dark fruit and some caramel. It is medium bodied and has a nice finish.

May 27, 2008 $5.25 for a 16oz. serving at the Crabapple Taco Mac location. Served, oddly enough, with a gigantic orange slice.
Appearance: Pours a clear, medium copper body
Smell: Aroma of toasted malts with unripened bananas, candied dried fruits, and coriander.
Taste: Toasty, bready maltiness with a restrained sweetness. Fruity and a bit flowery. Coriander and maybe even a cinnamon stick tossed in. Tempering hop bitterness. Pervasive, sour yeastiness throughout. Dry, yeasty finish.Banana lingers into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: A fine, easy-drinking brew from Ommegang. Certainly worth a try. Oh, and the orange slice? It was delicious.

May 24, 2008 Pours a five-finger thick white head that takes forever to fade leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Wheat/yeast nose. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is fruity & yeasty, almost a clean finish. 750ml bottle $5.99 from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.
