Commercial Description:
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Bottle. Great amber, orange color with nice big foamy head. Sweet and fruity with a nice spice finish. Just a bit cloying. Not bad.

On draft at Fuel and Fuddle. Pours a hazy amber color with a thick frothy off-white head. Nose of malty banana, clove, coriander, and yeast. Taste of some fruity esters with a little bit of sour from the yeast. A nice bitter balance as well. Has a sort of creamy oily body. Not the best from Ommegang, but pretty good.

Amber copper color small head. Yeast, spice, and an orange caramel-cookie malt backbone. More lemon and yeast in the taste. Sweet and yeasty; slightly acidic at the finish.

Pours a cloudy amber color with foamy white head and large chunks of yeast floating around. Citrus sour aroma of lemon, orange and grapefruit. Sweet citrus flavor that contains a lot of yeast and a touch of maltiness.

750ml bottle. Hazy golden amber with a big white head. Great citrusy aroma with hints of yeast. Sour, but not overwhelming, flavors. Great pairing with a meal.

Warm golden, close to copper with a nice and creamy head. The aroma has a lot of yeast and orange citrus fruits, other fruit, malt and spice. The flavour is sweet and I find the same notes as in the flavour, but also candy sugar and pear. The finish is citrussy and sweet. The overall impression is too sweet for me, and the rather high carbonation is a bit annoying too.
