Draft. Pours a deep reddish brown with a creamy, off-white head. Sour nose with hints of cherries and white vinegar. It was hard to get much else off the nose. Medium-low carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Slight medicinal note, sour cherries, apple, and something I can’t quite place on the palate. Short finish. Interesting, but it doesn’t strike me as overly complex. On the plus side, as my first sour ever, it definitely made me want another one.

On tap at D’ Six Pax in Pittsburgh. Body is a brownish red and supports a thin, but dense head. Aromas are nice and sour. Tart cherries, malt vinegar... Flavor is similar, and is fairly balanced in terms of mouthfeel and thickness. This is very good and I’m glad I stumbled across it for rating 1300.

Draft at Birreria Paradiso. Brown-amber color, stained-glass like. Lacy head. Sour lacto aroma lets you know you are in for a treat. Oaky and super sour. Bretty sourness in your face. Tangy cherry and lemon notes. Top-notch. World class. Awesome.

On tap at Rich’Os. Thanks Roger! Awesome lite tartness with a bit of funk to give it character. Very refreshing for any season and perfectly balanced. A beautiful brew. I just had 2 more glasses at RIch O’s (another night). Damn this stuff is awesome.

One of my favorite beers right now. So highly drinkable and wonderfully sour. Smooth and sweet and tart with the right amount of cherry. Some plums, grape skin and wood too. Just super delicious.

On tap at the Beer Engine. Pours very dark brown with off white head. Was clear dark brown. Aroma was tart lemon, funk, barnyard, and oak. Medium light mouthfeel with a fair amount of carbonation that tickled my tongue. Flavor was sour tart lemon, woody, oaky, brett, tobacco, leather, and was very smooth. This was a nice brew.

On tap at Max’s in Baltimore. The pour was brown with lots of ruby highlights. A short, off-white head with bits of lacing. The aroma is tart cherry in front of sweeter malts and underlying wood and very slight earthiness. The flavor is tart cherry and oak. A slight hint of vinegar. Plenty of sweetness (from the malts I’ll assume). Effortless mouthfeel that finishes crisp and dry. Very nice.
