On tap at the Brick Store. Pours a clear copper with a small bubbly off-white head that receded fairly quickly and left spotty lacing. The aroma is tart but with plenty of sweetness as well. There’s a bit of sour fruitiness, especially tart cherries, up front that gives way to a pretty big sugary sweetness that forms the backbone. The taste is very sweet for the style with lots of brown sugar underlying a slightly tart fruit taste. Lots of tart cherries throughout but with a very puckering sourness from the outset. The mouthfeel is very wine-like and dry but with plenty of fruit and sugar sweetness that sticks on the palate. I enjoyed this one a good bit and probably because of the extra sweetness. Either way, tasty beer.

draft at Taco Mac, Crabapple... dark red with no head by the time it got to my table... faint tart aroma... some oak as well. The tart fruit hits the front of the palate and rounds out over the back. Very sour through the finish with some malt balancing it out.

Growler shared kindly by GodOfThunder. Pours a gorgeous ruby with a dollop of long lacing tan head. A soft Rodenbach style beer, whose tartness comes across as very cherry-ish. Acetic leads off the nose, cherry, caramel malt. Tart and more caramel bound cherries, soft vanilla and wood tannins, some sweetness. A lush soft body, drying nicely at the finish.

draft at la cave du vin, cleveland OH - Pours a crystal clear ruby red color with small off white head. Aroma with tart cherries, toasted oak, and vanilla. Flavor is malty, tart, vinegary. Overall very good, a bit more tart and one dimensional than Rodenbach, but still delicious.

Thanks to Linus stick, I had this at the Bocktown, nice place! Very dark, with a barely red tinge shining thru when held up to the sunlight. Nifty creamy head with lots of small and sporadic big bubbles. Friendly tart aroma, with fruit olfactory. Tingly first impressions on the palate. Tart bite, delicious and fun. What an experience! Finish? What finish? Balderdash, it’s gone! Nicely done and very enjoyable. I love these sour ales, simply lovely. An overall extremely pleasant experience!

Very tart, found on tap at Taco Mac and ordered without knowing the style of ale and was suprised. My wife tried it before me and said she didn’t think it was beer. It was good but not great.
